Hemianthus callitrichoides 'Cuba'
Hemianthus callitrichoides 'Cuba' was first encountered in a stream on the Island of Cuba. Possessing leaves only a few millimetres across, it is the smallest aquarium plant known. This species is highly versatile in its water condition requirements, though it benefits from intense lighting and ample CO2 supply. Splitting the above-water shoots into sections provides an easy way to quickly create a lush, dense foreground carpet. Rock formations intertwined with this plant result in an attractive, natural-looking display.
