Anubias barteri var. nana ‘Pangolino’

LimitedNewRare
Sale price£8.49

Anubias barteri var. nana ‘Pangolino’ is the smallest known cultivar of Anubias, featuring extremely tiny, dense dark green leaves. This ultra-compact growth makes it ideal for nano aquariums, shrimp tanks, and high-detail aquascaping layouts where scale and proportion matter.

As an epiphyte plant, it should be attached to driftwood, rocks, or aquascaping decor rather than planted in substrate to prevent rhizome rot. It thrives under low to medium lighting and does not require CO₂ injection, although CO₂ enhances growth rate and health.

Growing to just 1-3 cm tall, ‘Pangolino’ creates dense mini clusters, perfect for foreground placement, bonsai tree designs, or intricate hardscape highlights. Its tough leaves resist nibbling from fish and provide grazing areas for shrimp.

Maintenance is minimal, with only occasional removal of older or algae-covered leaves needed. Due to its rarity, compactness, and ease of care, Anubias nana ‘Pangolino’ is highly sought after by advanced aquascapers and nano tank enthusiasts.
