Marsilea hirsuta
On sale
Marsilea hirsuta is an aquatic species in the water clover family and is native to Australia. Due to its diminutive size, it is commonly referred to as the dwarf four leaf clover. In wetlands, it produces clover-like foliage when not submerged, while underwater it bears ovate leaves similar to Glossostigma plants. Growing and maintaining this dwarf four leaf clover is simpler, although it requires some time for the young plants to adjust to the aquarium. A lush carpet will eventually form if the emersed shoots are trimmed off before planting.
