Eleocharis acicularis
Eleocharis acicularis, commonly known as dwarf hairgrass or spikerush, has a widespread global presence, often spotted along pond edges and in shallow waters throughout Central Europe. Its popularity in aquariums spans generations, cherished for its delicate, slender leaves that reach heights of 10 to 20 cm when submerged. A close botanical cousin, Eleocharis pusilla, sometimes marketed as "E. parvula," bears resemblance but maintains a smaller stature, around 5 cm tall, with gracefully curved, light green foliage under similar conditions.
